Put a name on the window and you read instead of scanning
If a note is what you have to say about a window, a label is what the window is. It hangs above the title bar like an index tab, moves when the window moves and hides when it is minimised. For anyone who keeps many windows of the same program open, this ends up being used more often than notes.

Width follows the text
A label sizes itself to its text. Drag its edge to set a width and automatic sizing turns off, keeping the width you chose.
Click a label to switch
Clicking a label brings its window forward, so you read a name instead of scrubbing through six identical taskbar icons. When the window sits at the very top of the screen and there is no room above it, the label moves just inside the title bar instead.
