Add a screen and you open more windows, and remembering which screen holds what becomes the actual work. You turn your head, scan, scan the other side, then fall back to Alt+Tab and page through thumbnails. It is a short move that repeats dozens of times a day. Decide that the left screen is reference and the right screen is work, then put that role on each window as an index label. Four browser windows spread across two screens still separate by name, and clicking a label brings its window forward.
A 150% laptop panel next to a 100% external monitor is the common case. WindowPin follows per-monitor DPI (Per-Monitor V2), so dragging a window across does not leave the note at the wrong size.
Disconnect an external screen and Windows herds the windows back onto the primary display. Notes move with their windows and are nudged back on-screen if they would land outside it. Reconnect, move the window back, and the note goes with it.
Does it work with three or more monitors?
Yes. Positions are computed in virtual-screen coordinates, so the number and arrangement of displays does not matter.
Do I have to reposition notes after moving a window?
No. A note remembers its offset relative to its window, so it keeps the same spot wherever the window goes.
